I hope everyone has had a great summer. It certainly went by fast this year. With September comes the start of our Clubs for the school year. We welcome back all returning members and look forward to meeting all of you new ones. It's going to be a great year! The Joe 15 Team has many volunteer opportunities this month. In addition to our regular monthly activities you can also join in on our highway cleanup on the 11th or how about participating in a disaster drill involving an anthrax situation on the 25th. I'm pleased to announce that also on the 25th "The Joe 15 Team" has been asked to participate in the International Day of Prayer for Peace. What an honor to be asked to be a part of this event. You don't want to miss this one, so mark your calendars now. I would like to share a verse from a poem written by Joy Curnutt. "Talk to me, say my name, know that I'm still here, in my death I have a new life, and one day it will be clear. So talk to me and look for me in everything you do, for I haven't gone so far away, I'm really right next to you." Joe, we love and miss you so much!

Important Dates in September
Sept. 9th - Children's activities at SERVE (6:15-8:00 pm)
Sept. 11th - Adopt-A-Highway cleanup. We will meet in the Cracker Barrel parking lot (4:00 pm)
Sept. 13th - After supper walk at The Fairmont (6:30 pm)
Sept. 18th - Bocce Ball at The Fairmont (2:00 pm)
Sept. 20th - Wii night at The Fairmont (6:30 pm)
Sept. 25th - Exercise drill for an anthrax situation. Must be 16 to participate.
Location in Manassas (exact location given at later date).
Volunteers needed at 9:00 am or 11:00 am depending on your role.
Sept. 25th - International Day of Prayer for Peace.
The Joe 15 Team will be participating in the program.
It is being held at the Buddhist temple on Rt. 28 in Catlett, VA.
We need to arrive at approximately 5:15.
Our part of the program is at 6:00 pm. We will be served dinner.
Sept. 30th - Card delivery to Juvenile Detention Center
*Card deliveries are made to The Fairmont throughout the month.
